Job summary

Saffery Champness is recruiting a School Leaver Accounts Trainee (ACA) in High Wycombe for September 2027. You will embark on a four-year training contract, joining a structured development programme with tuition support through Kaplan and on‑the‑job learning. No prior work experience required, with a path towards ACA qualification.

You’ll gain hands-on experience across accounting tasks, engage in team projects, and develop professional skills in a collaborative, inclusive culture.

Qualifications

• 120 UCAS points from top 3 A Levels or Highers (or equivalent).
• Minimum of 6 (B) in GCSE or National 5 Maths and English Language (or equivalent).
• Welcome applications from candidates who are AAT qualified; if you have completed AAT studies (up to Level 4) detail this on your application.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparing financial statements, management accounts and related analysis.
• Work with client financial data using a range of accounting systems and tools.
• Assist with resolving day-to-day accounting queries as you gain experience, building confidence over time.
• Prepare accurate, high-quality work for review by senior team members.

Education

UCAS points 120+ (top 3 A level or Highers)

GCSE Maths and English Language (minimum 6 / B)

AAT Level 4 (eligible if applicable)
