Are you an experienced Bookkeeper / Accounts Technician looking to for a blended role in a modern, forward-thinking accountancy practice that genuinely values its team?

We’re working with a well-established and highly respected firm in Bexhill who pride themselves on offering a supportive, flexible and friendly working environment. Their focus on work-life balance, professional development, and employee wellbeing makes them one of the most enjoyable and rewarding practices to be part of on the South Coast.

This is a firm where people enjoy coming to work. The team is positive, collaborative and down-to-earth, and the practice has cultivated a truly happy workforce where everyone's contributions are recognised and appreciated. You’ll benefit from a “dress for your day” policy, allowing for a relaxed and comfortable approach when appropriate, while still maintaining the professionalism that clients expect.

The Role

You’ll be working closely with a wide-ranging client portfolio, supporting sole traders, partnerships and limited companies with bookkeeping and accounts duties. Using QuickBooks as the main software platform, you'll manage day-to-day bookkeeping, VAT returns, reconciliations, and assist with the preparation of year-end accounts.

You’ll be trusted to build client relationships and work autonomously, while always having the backing of a friendly and experienced team.

What You’ll Need
  • Proven bookkeeping or accounts experience within a UK accountancy practice
  • Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks (experience with other cloud-based systems is a plus)
  • A confident communicator with a client-focused approach
  • Good attention to detail and a proactive attitude
  • AAT qualification is desirable but not essential
What’s On Offer
  • A supportive, friendly, and genuinely enjoyable working environment
  • A “dress for your day” culture that reflects trust and flexibility
  • Ongoing development and training opportunities
  • Great variety in your client work, with a loyal and interesting client base
  • Competitive salary and benefits package

This is more than just another bookkeeping role. It’s a chance to join a practice where culture comes first, and where your work is genuinely appreciated.
