Accountant & Tax Manager - Sidcup

TPF Recruitment is seeking a talented Accounts & Tax Manager for a reputable, multi-sited firm of accountants in Sidcup. This firm offers a great work-life balance and a friendly, family-like working environment.

You will handle a variety of tasks in a general practice setting, including accounts, tax, bookkeeping, management accounts, VAT, and CIS. You will be supported by a small but experienced team and serve as the primary contact for client queries. Clients include sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies across various sectors.

This role is suitable for Managers aiming to progress towards partnership or those seeking a long-term managerial position without necessarily pursuing partnership.

Key Responsibilities

1. Managing a client portfolio, including limited companies, sole traders, partnerships, and individuals
2. Overseeing all aspects of client service delivery: year-end accounts, management accounts, bookkeeping, VAT, and CIS
3. Liaising with clients on accounts and tax issues
4. Acting as the main point of contact for clients, providing updates and maintaining communication
5. Reviewing work of junior team members and resolving issues prior to submission
6. Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients
7. Developing and motivating junior staff and assisting in the practice's daily operations
