Job summary

M+A Partners LLP in Cromer is seeking an Accounts and Tax Assistant Manager to lead a mixed portfolio of accounts and tax clients, from individuals to corporates. You will assist with managing the team and be involved in onboarding, billing and planning with the Partner.

The role requires ACA or ACCA (min); CTA desirable, with at least 1 year PQE in a practice. A split between home and office working is an option.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualified (minimum); CTA highly desirable.
• Experience managing a client portfolio is desirable; however, this role would also suit an individual looking to progress into managing their own portfolio.
• Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage a broad portfolio of clients and meet competing deadlines.
• Proven experience managing and prioritising workloads effectively.
• Strong team-working skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively and adapt to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review statutory accounts, finalising the statutory accounts and submitting to Companies House.
• Advise clients and prepare the client’s file ahead of meetings with the Partner.
• Manage day-to-day client enquiries and assist the Partner with future planning.
• Quote fees, billing, raise invoices and manage WIP (Work In Progress).
• Prepare and review VAT returns.
• Prepare and review corporation tax returns and submit to HMRC.
• Prepare and review self-assessment personal tax returns.
• Support in business development, networking events and marketing the firm’s services.
• Involved in new client meetings and onboarding processes.
• Review work by junior team members and supervise accordingly.
