Job summary

ACCA Careers in Tonbridge is seeking an Accounts Senior for a leading accountancy firm. You will prepare financial statements for clients, support tax compliance, and manage relationships to ensure smooth financial operations.

You will review junior work, ensure VAT returns and MTD processes are accurate, and stay up to date with regulation changes while helping improve internal processes and efficiency.

Qualifications

• A recognised accounting qualification (ACCA/ACA) or equivalent experience in accounting and finance.
• Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles and tax regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office tools.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• The ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements and accounts for clients in line with regulations.
• Support clients with tax compliance and planning tasks.
• Manage client relationships and provide expert advice when needed.
• Review work prepared by junior team members and provide constructive feedback.
• Ensure accurate VAT returns and submissions are completed on time.
• Support with MTD processes.
• Keep up to date with changes in accounting legislation and practices.
• Contribute to the development of internal processes and team efficiency.
