Job summary

Menzies is seeking an Accounts Senior for our Outsourced Accounting Services team in the Woking or London office. You will strengthen SAP capability and deliver expert outsourced accounting and advisory services across the full finance function, from transactional accounting to statutory reporting.

The role requires ACA or ACCA Level 7 and at least 2 years of finance experience. You’ll mentor junior colleagues and help our team grow while delivering high‑quality service to a diverse client base.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA Level 7 qualification with 2+ years finance experience.
• Experience using SAP and strong Excel analytical skills.
• Willing to travel occasionally to client sites.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality management accounts and oversee clients' day-to-day accounting activities.
• Support the full finance function including month-end adjustments and VAT returns.
• Prepare statutory financial statements and build trusted client relationships.
• Coach and mentor junior team members and collaborate across the firm.

We have a great opportunity for an Accounts Senior to join our Outsourced Accounting Services team in the Woking or London office.

Play a key role in strengthening Menzies' SAP capability by delivering expert outsourced accounting and advisory services to a diverse client base. You'll support clients across the full finance function from transactional accounting to management accounts and statutory reporting, while sharing your expertise, mentoring junior team members and helping our team continue to grow.

Key Responsibilities

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

• Deliver high-quality management accounts – Prepare accurate and insightful management accounts while overseeing clients' day-to-day accounting activities and becoming a trusted extension of their finance team.
• Support the full finance function – Maintain accounting records, prepare working papers and complete month-end adjustments, with a particular focus on supporting clients who use SAP.
• Prepare VAT returns – Apply your technical knowledge to produce accurate VAT returns and ensure compliance with the latest legislation.
• Build trusted client relationships – Develop strong relationships with clients, Partners and colleagues, providing a responsive, professional and advisory‑led service.
• Support and develop others – Share your knowledge by coaching and mentoring junior team members, helping them grow while maintaining high standards of quality and delivery.
• Work collaboratively across Menzies – Partner with colleagues across service lines to deliver seamless, joined‑up solutions that add real value for our clients.
• Prepare statutory financial statements – Support clients through the year‑end process by preparing high‑quality statutory accounts and ensuring deadlines are met.

Skills/Knowledge/Expertise

What We’re Looking For: We’re looking for someone who enjoys building strong client relationships, has a passion for delivering high‑quality accounting services, and is keen to develop their career within a collaborative and supportive team. If you're confident using SAP, enjoy problem‑solving, and take pride in producing accurate work, we'd love to hear from you.

Qualifications

• Ideally AAT Level 4 qualified (or equivalent).
• Working towards, or already qualified in, a Level 7 professional qualification such as ACA or ACCA.
• Experience using SAP, including processing transactions and ideally producing reports.
• Strong Excel skills, with the ability to analyse and interpret financial data.
• A solid understanding of accounting principles and the ability to apply technical knowledge to real client situations.
• Confident working independently while also contributing as part of a collaborative team.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues at all levels.
• A keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering accurate, high‑quality work.
