Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role within an accountancy practice.

Job description

We are currently recruitingfor an Accounts Senior on behalf of our client - a reputable and respected accountancy practice in Kilmarnock.

Joining the long-established accountancy firm, the successful candidate will work as part of the accounts team to provide an efficient, reliable and friendly service to personal and business clients.

The company offer a hybrid working approach (2 days in the office and 3 days from home to suit).

Reporting to Director, they will be responsible for the following...

  • Preparing & reviewing accounts for a diverse portfolio of clients (limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders).
  • Analyse financial data to provide insights and recommendations to clients.
  • Prepare, review, and submit VAT returns, corporation tax, and personal tax returns.
  • Liaising directly with clients and deal with queries, understanding their unique needs and ensuring they receive timely and accurate advice.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients on all matters related to accounting, tax, and financial planning.
  • A minimum of 3 of experience in a similar role within an accountancy practice.
  • Strong understanding of UK accounting and tax regulations.
  • Proficient with MS Office & various accounting / bookkeeping software (i.e. Sage, IRIS)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
