Job summary

REED is recruiting an experienced Accounts Senior for a Dorset-based accountancy practice, based in Gillingham. The role offers flexible working with fully remote options, part-time or full-time hours to suit work–life balance.

You will join a small, close-knit team (nine members) with an office dog and diverse clients across sole traders, partnerships, trusts, and companies. Salary starts at £25k, rising to £35k depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Two years+ experience within an accountancy firm.
• Familiar with preparing accounts under FRS102 and FRS105.
• Experience with Sage, Xero or QuickBooks is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accounts, including corporate and personal tax returns, and provide client support as needed.
• Manage deadlines and direct client communication.
• Prepare FRS102/FRS105 accounts and undertake VAT work; address adhoc client queries.

Salary - Starting £25 - £35k, dependant on experience

Full time / Part Time Hours

Flexible working and fully remote options available including only working TERM TIME

Duties:

• - Responsible for preparing accounts, corporate and personal tax returns and delivering client support as required.
• - You will be comfortable with managing deadlines, direct client contact, preparing FRS102 and FRS105 accounts, VAT work and resolving adhoc client queries.
• - Our clients use a variety of software packages including Sage, Xero and Quickbooks so experience with one or more of these would be helpful.
