About the Role As an Accounts Senior, you’ll play a crucial role in preparing financial statements, handling VAT returns, and managing a portfolio of clients with diligence and expertise. You will lead by example, supporting junior staff and ensuring client deliverables are met on time and to the highest professional standard.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation and review of financial statements for a variety of clients
• Managing VAT and tax returns, ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships, offering advice and guidance
• Supervising and mentoring junior staff, supporting their development
• Assisting with audits and special projects as needed
• Staying up to date with industry standards and legislative changes

About You

• ACA/ACCA qualified or part-qualified with solid experience in an accountancy practice
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members
• Experience with accounting software (e.g., Xero, Sage, QuickBooks) is preferred
• Self-motivated, well-organized, and able to manage multiple priorities
