Job description

Quest Employment are searching for an experienced Accounts professional who is seeking a better work/life balance without the compromise in compensation. You could be an experienced Accounts Senior with all-round, comprehensive experience who wants to step away from the typical long hours and overtime in practice.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 16:30pm (30 minute break; as no one stays in the office even a minute past finish time).

The Role / Responsibilities:

  • Client turnovers range from small OMBs to medium-sized groups with turnovers of up to 55m.
  • Preparation of accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies with a wide range of turnover in a wide range of sectors.
  • Preparation of business and corporate tax computations.
  • Preparation of VAT returns and management accounts.
  • Liaising with clients to collect documentation and information.

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in practice in all aspects of accounting, taxation, management and compliance.
  • ACA / ACCA Qualified / Part-Qualified.
  • Experience of OMBs, Medium-sized business accounts, including the preparation of statutory financial statements.
  • Flexible and proactive approach with the ability to solve problems using own initiative.
  • Excellent communication skills and IT skills, specifically Excel.
  • Ability to check work for accuracy and have good attention to detail.
  • Ability and will to travel to client's premises.
