The Role
As an Accounts Senior, you’ll take ownership of a varied client portfolio, producing accounts and VAT returns, reviewing work prepared by junior team members, and acting as a key contact for clients. While your work will be reviewed by a manager, you’ll have plenty of autonomy and opportunities to develop professionally.
Key Responsibilities:
Preparing financial statements from client records, with supporting schedules for review
Regular bookkeeping duties, including VAT returns and management accounts
Planning and managing your own workload across multiple assignments
Guiding, mentoring, and delegating to junior staff as appropriate
Managing client communications and progressing assignments to meet deadlines
Coordinating with internal departments to ensure seamless service delivery
Occasional travel to client premises (paid travel); some overtime may be required
About You:
ACA or ACCA qualified, with a strong background in UK accountancy practice
Confident managing your own portfolio and working with owner-managed businesses
Tech-savvy, with knowledge of CCH or similar systems an advantage
Personable, proactive, and an excellent communicator
Enjoy working collaboratively and contributing to a positive team culture
