Job summary

Accountancy Elite in Abingdon, Oxfordshire, is seeking an Accounts Senior with 3-5 years' practice experience, ideally near ACCA/ACA qualification.

You will prepare accounts, VAT, tax computations for various client types, assist with cloud-based record keeping, and mentor junior staff; MTD knowledge advantageous.

The role offers a 36-hour week, 23 days holiday plus bank holidays, a company pension, and a clear path toward director level with fully supported training.

Qualifications

• ACA / ACCA late stages of qualification or already qualified.
• 3-5 years of practice experience in accounts.
• Experience preparing accounts and related business tax computations.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Proven verbal and written communication skills.
• Full UK driving license.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of accounts, VAT returns and tax computations for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
• Assisting clients with their financial record keeping, including cloud-based solutions.
• Preparation of corporation tax returns and personal tax returns.
• Company secretarial work.
• MTD knowledge and implementation is an advantage.
• Training and mentoring junior members of the team.

Accountancy Elite yet again have been instructed by a long term client of ours who are a well established accountancy based in Abingdon. Our client is recruiting an accounts senior into their team with the long term view that they will take a role in the senior management of the practice in the short to medium term dependant on experience and skill set.

The successful candidate will ideally be nearly ACCA/ACA qualified or already qualified with 3-5 years good quality practice experience.

Role Responsibilities

• Preparation of accounts, VAT returns and tax computations from client records, for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
• Assisting clients with their financial record keeping, which is increasingly moving to Cloud-based solutions.
• Preparation of corporation tax returns and personal tax returns.
• Company secretarial work.
• MTD knowledge and knowledge of implementation is an advantage.
• Training and mentoring junior members of the team.
