Job summary

Si Recruitment is seeking an Accounts Semi-Senior at a well-established Harrogate practice. The role offers broad exposure across accounts prep, bookkeeping, VAT, and tax work within a supportive team.

The ideal candidate has about 12 years’ practice experience and is developing towards AAT or ACA, with CCH Accounts Production knowledge being advantageous. A collaborative environment and study support are provided.

Qualifications

• 12 years experience in an accountancy practice is preferred.
• Studying towards or interested in AAT or ACA qualifications.
• Strong knowledge of accounts preparation and bookkeeping processes.
• Experience with CCH Accounts Production is advantageous.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Detail-oriented with a willingness to learn.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Preparing accounts for owner-managed businesses and clients.
• Assisting with bookkeeping duties and VAT returns.
• Supporting audit assignments when required.
• Assisting with personal and business tax work.
• Collaborating with senior team members to deliver work accurately.
• Liaising with clients to resolve queries and gather information.
