Job summary

BV Recruitment Ltd in Central London seeks a dedicated accounting professional to join its niche firm and support the preparation of FRS 102/105 statutory accounts, tax returns and bookkeeping for a diverse client base, including media and entertainment sectors. You will liaise directly with clients and often collaborate in small teams.

The role offers hybrid working, flexible hours and full study support for professional exams within a fast-paced environment in Zone 1 Central London.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in a good quality accountancy firm.
• Experience preparing statutory accounts, basic corporation tax returns, VAT returns and bookkeeping.

Responsibilities

• Prepare FRS 102 and 105 statutory accounts from start to finish.
• Draft corporation tax and VAT returns and bookkeeping assignments.
• Liaise with clients and work in small teams to complete assignments.
• Training and support provided where necessary.

Job Purpose:

• This niche West End based accountancy firm based in a prime location in Central London is looking for a new member of staff to join their busy and growing accountancy and business services department.
• The aim is to provide first class accountancy services to a wide range of clients, many from the Film, TV, Creative, Media and Entertainment sectors.
• Most clients will be small to medium in size but will include some groups and international companies.
• The firm offers both ACA and ACCA study support.

Responsibilities:

• Your role will be varied and include the preparation of both FRS 102 and 105 statutory accounts from start to finish, drafting corporation tax returns, VAT returns and bookkeeping assignments.
• You will liaise directly with clients and often work in small teams to complete assignments.
• The firm uses Xero software on almost all work assignments.
• Training and support will be provided where necessary.

Requirements:

• You will need at least 2 years experience in a good quality accountancy firm.
• Experience of preparing statutory accounts, basic corporation tax returns, VAT returns and bookkeeping assignments is required.
• You must have started your professional exams - either the ACA or ACCA.
• Being AAT qualified is desired but not essential.
• Experience of Xero software package.
• A desire to learn, progress and do well in a niche accountancy firm based in Zone 1 Central London.
