Job summary

Catering in Aylesbury is seeking an Accounts Semi-Senior to join a friendly practice. You will prepare accounts, VAT and tax returns, assist with bookkeeping, and provide advisory support while developing technical skills with mentoring and study support.

Ideal candidates will have experience in accountancy, be studying towards AAT/ACCA/ACA, and be confident with Xero, QuickBooks or Sage. Attractive salary and benefits offered, with genuine progression.

Qualifications

• 23 years’ experience within an accountancy practice.
• Studying towards AAT, ACCA or ACA (or recently completed)
• Confident on cloud software Xero, QuickBooks or Sage
• Strong Excel and good attention to detail
• Well-organised, reliable and keen to develop

Responsibilities

• Preparing year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies (Sole traders, partnerships, LTDs).
• Preparing VAT returns and personal tax returns to review level
• Completing bookkeeping assignments across cloud software
• Keeping accurate records, reconciliations and client files
• Supporting seniors and managers and responding to client queries
• Managing your own workload to hit deadlines and budgets
