Job summary

Sumer Group Holdings Limited is seeking an Accounts Semi Senior to join the London Kensal Rise office. The role involves producing statutory accounts, corporation tax computations, VAT returns, and management accounts for a varied client base.

You will work closely with managers, develop your accounting skills, and contribute to a supportive team focused on delivering high-quality service. Experience in practice and studying ACA/ACCA/AAT is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in an accountancy practice in a similar role.
• Be studying towards, or keen to continue studying, AAT, ACA or ACCA.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and attention to detail.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Preparing statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships, LLPs and limited companies
• Preparing corporation tax computations and CT600 returns
• Producing management accounts for a range of clients
• Preparing and reviewing VAT returns
• Assisting with HMRC enquiries and correspondence
• Maintaining statutory records and company registers
• Preparing profit and loss accounts, balance sheets and trial balances
• Drafting reports on financial statements, business performance, systems and internal controls
• Building strong relationships with clients and acting as a trusted point of contact
• Working closely with managers and keeping them informed of client developments and any technical matters
