You will be joining a leading, well-established top 20 practice, based across the North West, with over 100 years of experience. They specialise in various services, including audit and assurance, advisory, tax, outsourcing, accounts, payroll, and more, offering significant career development opportunities. Supported by a larger group, you'll gain exposure to a diverse client portfolio, from small local SMEs to larger national groups. Due to ongoing growth, they are seeking an Accounts Semi-Senior to join their expanding team and strengthen their accounts department.
Your new role
You'll be part of a team of accounts professionals, providing opportunities for development and learning. Your daily duties will include assisting your team and senior staff with accounts preparation up to manager review. This involves statutory accounts preparation, VAT returns, tax returns, and bookkeeping. You will also work with IRIS, CCH, and Xero software.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed, you should have at least 2 years of experience in an accountancy firm and be part-qualified through ACCA or ACA. A solid understanding of accounts preparation is essential. Good interpersonal skills are necessary to build and maintain client relationships. Effective communication skills and the ability to multitask are also important to support the team effectively.
