Key Responsibilities:

As an Accounts Semi-Senior, your role will include but not be limited to:

  • Preparing statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies in line with accounting standards.
  • Producing management accounts and providing insightful analysis for clients.
  • Preparing VAT returns and ensuring timely submission.
  • Assisting with bookkeeping duties and resolving client queries.
  • Supporting the preparation of tax computations and returns.
  • Liaising directly with clients to gather information and provide updates on their accounts.
  • Working closely with senior team members to support the smooth delivery of client services.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve client processes and add value to their businesses.
Requirements

About You:

The ideal candidate will be a proactive and detail-oriented professional who is passionate about delivering high-quality service to clients. You should possess:

  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years' experience in an accountancy practice, working on a range of accounts preparation and bookkeeping tasks.
  • Qualifications: Part-qualified ACA/ACCA or equivalent or qualified by experience.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage, as well as proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients and colleagues effectively.
  • Problem-Solving: The ability to manage workloads, meet deadlines, and address client needs efficiently.
