Numero Recruitment is working with one of the region’s leading independent practice accounting firms, which is looking for an Accounts Semi Senior to join their team in Cheltenham. The firm is well renowned for client service and works across a wide range of industry sectors, including:

• Manufacturing
• Technology
• Logistics
• Agriculture
• Electronics

The firm promotes from within and is willing to fully support further study for either the ACA or ACCA exams.

The Role:

• Assist in the preparation of statutory accounts for companies, partnerships, and sole traders to review stage.
• Assist in the preparation of management accounts and VAT returns.
• Work within budgets set at the planning stage; understand the importance of the budgets and communicate effectively to ensure these are met.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure an efficient and proactive service is provided to clients.
• Ensure the efficient use of appropriate software packages internally and support clients’ accounting systems.
• Draft tax computations.
• Prepare VAT returns, providing a hands-on compliance role.

Requirements:

• ACA or ACCA Part Qualified or Qualified by experience.
• Previous experience working in a practice accounting firm.
• A positive attitude towards client service and a desire to progress to become a fully qualified accountant.
