Job description

Our client is a prominent regional firm of Chartered Accountants located in Barnstaple, actively seeking an Accounts Technician / Accounts Semi Senior to join their dynamic Accounts department. This role offers flexible working hours with hybrid working options available.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Preparation of financial statements for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders up to the audit threshold.

Compiling personal and corporate tax computations and returns.

Delivering bookkeeping and management accounting services.

Handling filing of Companies House and HM Revenue & Customs documents on behalf of clients.

Maintaining and updating accounting records for clients.

Managing the preparation and completion of quarterly VAT returns.

Adhering to internal policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.

Undertaking general administrative tasks to support Partners, managers, and office operations.

Candidate Requirements:

This position is suitable for an AAT Qualified / Part Qualified or QBE Accountant with prior experience in a firm of Accountants.
