Job summary

NFP, part of the Aon group, is hiring an Accounts Assistant to support the Finance team in Bromsgrove. You’ll help manage incoming revenue, maintain accurate records, and handle key accounting activities across the UK holdings.

The role emphasizes strong communication, stakeholder management, and attention to detail, with exposure to Workday; you’ll collaborate with the Sales Ledger Manager and wider finance group to ensure timely accounting and month-end tasks.

Qualifications

  • Good communication across the business with colleagues and external clients via email, phone or face to face.
  • Strong stakeholder management to build relationships and meet delivery timescales.
  • Proactive, fast-paced, detail-oriented and able to stay busy.
  • Excellent attention to detail; able to spot patterns or discrepancies in numbers.
  • Accounting experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with Workday preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Managing incoming commissions by supporting the wider team, ensuring commissions are recorded accurately and timely.
  • Processing commission-related bank transactions and ensuring bank reconciles.
  • Overseeing invoices; ensuring sales invoices are raised and issued for relevant entities.
  • Working with the broader finance group to build annual budgets and reforecast during the year.
  • Assisting the group in completion of audit requests as required.
  • Supporting month-end reporting documents.
  • Assisting with transformation activity to improve finance processes.
  • Aiding with ad-hoc finance projects as required.
  • Chasing commission revenue not received in a timely manner.
