Job summary

SRM RECRUITMENT LIMITED is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Manager to lead the billing and collections process and drive cash flow improvements. You will partner with other areas of the business to optimise processes, manage WIP, and ensure accurate invoicing and timely payments.

The role requires a proven AR track record, strong Excel skills, and experience with Xero. A flexible hybrid work pattern is offered with some UK travel and on-site parking.

• Proven track record in an Accounts Receivable role within a service/contract based business.
• Excellent communication skills with a commercial mindset.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience using Xero.

Responsibilities

• Manage the complete billing and collections cycle from WIP to invoicing and payment.
• Ensure client accounts are accurately maintained and cash is collected within terms.
• Oversee credit control, month-end reconciliations and ad hoc projects.

Job description

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Accounts Receivable Manager to join a market leading brand as they continue to grow.

You will be responsible for managing the Accounts Receivable function of the business to ensure performance expectations are met and exceeded by improving cash flow through maximisation of cash collections and business partnering with other areas of the organisation.

Key duties will include:

• Manage the complete billing and collection cycle-from work in progress through to invoicing and payment
• Ensure client accounts are accurately maintained and cash is collected within agreed terms
• Credit control
• WIP-ensuring projects are running to plan and within budget and ensure billing is accurate and payments are received on time
• Implementing improved processes and procedures
• Manage the complete billing and collection cycle
• Reconciliations and month-end
• Other ad hoc projects as required

Key skills and attributes required:

• Proven track record in a similar Accounts Receivable role ideally within a service providing/contract based business
• Confident and articulate with a commercial mindset
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build and maintain internal and external relationships
• Advanced level Excel with experience of using Xero
• Accountable and able to work under pressure to tight deadlines
• Ability to work independently using own initiative as well as part of a team
