Job Description
- Process sales ledger invoices accurately and efficiently
- Raise invoices and credit notes with UK and international suppliers
- Set up new customer accounts and act as account manager for all queries
- Communicate via phone and email with suppliers and customers to ensure smooth project operations between sites, operations, and finance
- Reconcile statements and resolve discrepancies
- Ensure all bills and invoices are reconciled and amend any contract changes
- Verify that all contracts have correct billing information and projects are signed off
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure regulatory compliance
- Assist in month-end reporting related to ledgers
- Collaborate with the wider finance team to support business operations
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the department
- Close the sales ledger at month-end
The Successful Applicant
The ideal Accounts Receivable Clerk should have:
- Previous experience in sales ledger processing
- A strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures
- Experience managing contracts and customer accounts
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication skills for liaising with internal and external stakeholders
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvements
