Job Description

  1. Process sales ledger invoices accurately and efficiently
  2. Raise invoices and credit notes with UK and international suppliers
  3. Set up new customer accounts and act as account manager for all queries
  4. Communicate via phone and email with suppliers and customers to ensure smooth project operations between sites, operations, and finance
  5. Reconcile statements and resolve discrepancies
  6. Ensure all bills and invoices are reconciled and amend any contract changes
  7. Verify that all contracts have correct billing information and projects are signed off
  8. Maintain accurate financial records and ensure regulatory compliance
  9. Assist in month-end reporting related to ledgers
  10. Collaborate with the wider finance team to support business operations
  11. Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the department
  12. Close the sales ledger at month-end

The Successful Applicant

The ideal Accounts Receivable Clerk should have:

  1. Previous experience in sales ledger processing
  2. A strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures
  3. Experience managing contracts and customer accounts
  4. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications
  5. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
