Job description

FTE Salary:£27,000 - £30,000 - pro-rata

Hours:Part time - 22.5 hours a week flexible to work for you e.g. 3 days a week or 5 shorter working days

Duration: 6 month fixed term contract

Location:Remote

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive part-time Accounts and Payroll Assistant to join our dynamic shared services finance team. In this remote based role you'll play a key part in Sage 50 Accounts and Sage Payroll support, whilst managing day-to-day financial and administrative tasks in a busy and supportive payroll and accounts environment.

Key Responsibilities:

·Maintain accurate financial records using Sage 50 Accounts

·Provide holiday cover for weekly/monthly payroll using Sage Payroll, including RTI submissions and pension uploads

·Perform regular bank reconciliations, ensuring that all transactions are accurately recorded and discrepancies investigated and resolved promptly

·Assist with credit control, including issuing statements, following up overdue accounts, liaising with clients to resolve queries, and escalating outstanding debts where necessary

·Help to maintain our payroll system with appropriate controls for it to run efficiently, comply with statutory requirements and meet stakeholder expectations

·Accountable for updating and maintaining accurate and current data, sourced from the HR management system and the People Team

·Resolve payroll queries from colleagues, management or external stakeholders in a timely manner

·Ensure that robust audit-related records are maintained for submission to external auditors as required
