We are seeking an Accounts Payable Team Leader to manage supplier invoices for our Beverage plants in France, Belgium, and Switzerland. The role is based at our European Shared Services Centre in Wantage (UK) and reports to the Transactions Finance Manager, European Shared Services.
Responsibilities
- Manage the Accounts Payable team for French, Belgian, and Swiss suppliers, ensuring timely processing of invoices.
- Check and process incoming supplier invoices in SAP using the 3-way match and direct input methods.
- Ensure successful implementation of VIM and train stakeholders in its use.
- Ensure invoice approval aligns with current P2P policies.
- Coordinate with the French Plant Finance team, Business Central supply chain, and Belgian corporate team for timely invoice processing and approval.
- Support the implementation of the travel expense tool "Concur".
- Manage month, quarter, and year-end closing processes for Manufacturing and Distribution Centre entities in SAP.
- Prepare regular reports and statistics.
- Support VAT management for Switzerland.
- Clear the GRIR as approved.
- Check metal queries against the portal, raise issues with supply chain, and review in meetings.
- Assist the Accounts Payable team in achieving objectives.
- Ensure process coverage during holidays and absences.
- Ensure SOX compliance and complete checks for month-end.
- Perform ad-hoc duties as required.
Qualifications
- Qualified chartered accountant with 3-5 years of accounting experience, with certification such as AAT.
- Experience leading a team processing high-volume transactions.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to work in a diverse cultural environment.
- Experience with SAP ERP system.
- Experience with 3-way match supplier invoice processing.
- Proficiency in finance systems and MS Office Suite.
- Strong numeracy skills, diligence, organization, and deadline focus.
- Flexibility to travel within the UK and occasionally Europe.
Desirable Skills and Experience
- Experience in a shared service environment.
- Exposure to Sarbanes Oxley and USGAAP.
