To manage the effective administration and implementation of the accounts payable process ensuring all payments have been processed and reconciled correctly on time.
Responsibilities:
Accountable of the end-to-end Accounts Payable process
Develop industry standard reports and deadlines
Ensure payments are processed accurately on time
Maintain and keep all supplier accounts and information up to date
Regularly monitor and review all supplier bank details
Understand and control the BACs and manual payment runs for suppliers
Ensure expenses and cashcards are processed and paid to agreed timelines
Create close links with the bank reconciliation and feed any payments made in the business to the bank's reconciliation process
Perform the month end closing process and reconciliation of the ledgers
Ensure that the corporate credit accounts are processed correctly i.e. spend analysis and are charged to the correct general ledger accounts
Record all third-party invoices to correct general ledger and cost centres in our ERP system (Unit 4)
Work closely with procurement to ensure invoices are reconciled and recorded in a timely manner
Assist the Accounts Payable Manager in implementing and improving processes regularly to ensure efficiency.
Line manage and develop Accounts Payable Administrators
Minimum Requirements:
Demonstrable previous experience of working in accounts payable at supervisory or team leader level
Good understanding of general ledger and cost centres
Experience in using banking and ERP systems
Attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
Excellent working knowledge of using Microsoft Office applications
Excellent communication skills and the ability to deal with a diverse range of stakeholders
Dynamic, enthusiastic, self-motivated individual with excellent organisational skills
Desirable Skills and Experience:
Experience in using Unit 4 (ERP system)
