We’re searching for an Accounts Payable Supervisor in Bristol to join our team of free thinkers and collaborators.

Edyn is recruiting for a Supervisor to join the Accounts Payable team. The role will directly support the Accounts Payable Manager and will act as the first step in the escalation process for the function. The Accounts Payable supervisor will play a critical role within the Accounts Payable Team, working closely in a 9-person team and as part of a 60+ person Finance and Procurement team. The role is key to ensuring that all transactions are processed efficiently with accurate supporting documentation.

A role less ordinary.

  • Provide onboarding, training, and coaching to the team, driving continuous improvement.
  • Lead process change initiatives based on team feedback and process assessments, creating strong relationships with the Process Improvement team to automate manual processes and focus on value-added tasks like business partnering.
  • Lead automation efforts.
  • Complete detailed payment run analysis and ensure team compliance.
  • Respond to escalations in Accounts Payable disputes, engaging with stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Provide root cause analysis and insights on escalations.
  • Become the SME for the ‘procure to pay’ process at Edyn, leading business-wide change programs.
  • Handle complex reconciliations and complete end-to-end tasks to improve ledger health and reduce negative balances.

Who you are.

  • Experience in a fast-paced multi-jurisdiction Accounts Payable team for at least 2 years.
  • Supervisory experience of 3 or more team members (highly desirable).
  • Knowledge or experience in the hospitality or property industry (highly desirable).
  • Ability to think quickly, apply initiative, and solve problems with a commercial mindset.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to identify process gaps against best practices.
  • Experience in process improvement and as a project SME.
