Job summary

Yolk Recruitment Ltd in Carmarthen is recruiting an Accounts Assistant to join the finance team. The role focuses on Accounts Payable, ensuring invoices are processed accurately, supplier accounts maintained and queries resolved promptly.

There is a clear path to broaden finance exposure within a supportive team. The successful candidate will work in a hybrid setup with two days from home per week after probation, and a salary of £30,000.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant, Accounts Payable or Purchase Ledger role.
• Strong understanding of the Accounts Payable process.
• Good attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
• Confident communication skills, with the ability to liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Good Excel skills and confidence using finance systems.

Responsibilities

• Processing high volumes of supplier invoices accurately and efficiently.
• Matching, coding and posting invoices to the finance system.
• Reconciling supplier statements and investigating discrepancies.
• Managing supplier queries and maintaining strong working relationships.
• Preparing and processing supplier payment runs.
• Processing credit notes and allocating payments where required.
• Supporting account reconciliations and month-end activities.
• Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring transactions are processed in line with company procedures.
• Providing general support to the wider finance team as required.
