Job summary

BAM UK & Ireland is hiring an Accounts Payable Specialist to process supplier invoices and payments from Farnborough, ensuring accuracy and compliance. You will support the Finance Shared Services team, build supplier relationships, and uphold internal controls while working to strict deadlines.

Ideal candidates will have AP experience, be studying towards an accounting qualification, and demonstrate a proactive approach to process improvement and data accuracy in a construction finance

Qualifications

• Experience in accounts payable and supplier management.
• Studying towards an accounting qualification (AAT/ACCA/CIMA).
• Interest in regulatory rules like VAT and CIS.

Responsibilities

• Validate invoices for PO, VAT, supplier name and AP details.
• Process high volumes of supplier invoices timely and accurately.
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain electronic filing for audit readiness.
• Respond to supplier queries promptly and professionally.
