Job summary

Michael Page is recruiting an Accounts Payable Assistant in Milton Keynes. You will support the finance team through expansion and integration following a recent acquisition, covering full purchase ledger processes and supplier management.

The role involves three-way matching, invoice processing, payments, reconciliations and reporting. Strong Excel/ERP skills and attention to detail are essential for success in a collaborative finance team.

Qualifications

• Experience in high-volume AP or purchase ledger environments.
• Strong Excel skills including pivot tables and lookup functions.
• Comfort operating across ERP systems and extracting financial information for reporting.

Responsibilities

• Process end-to-end supplier invoices and ensure accurate recording.
• Execute three-way matching and resolve PO/invoice discrepancies.
• Process non-PO invoices with appropriate authorisations.
• Prepare payment runs and support supplier account settlements.
• Perform supplier statement reconciliations and resolve queries.
• Assist vendor onboarding and maintain supplier records.
• Support month-end reporting and reconciliations of liabilities.
• Produce AP reports using ERP and Excel (pivot tables/lookups).
• Monitor goods receipts and outstanding invoices for accurate reporting.
• Collaborate with finance, operations and the wider business on day-to-day processes.
