The Impact You Will Make: As Accounts Payable Specialist you will be responsible for vendor invoices being paid accurately on-time and within company policies in our accounting system. You will assist in all accounts payable and other accounting functions as they relate to the department and company.

Responsibilities
  • Process high volume of UK invoices and ensure timely payments.
  • Research and problem solve supplier credits, discrepancies and other open issues.
  • Verify supplier statements and handle assigned supplier correspondence.
  • Compose month end closing and month end invoice accruals.
  • Assist with special projects as needed (W9s, 1099s, vendor data, banking details, etc.).
  • Support and backup other team members, as needed.
  • Assist with departmental mail.
  • Assist with department supervisor and manager, with ad-hoc tasks as needed.
Skills & Experience
  • 3+ years' experience in a similar accounting/finance role with experience in accounts payable.
  • Educated to Degree level or equivalent in a relevant financial/accounting discipline.
  • A strong understanding of financial systems and processes.
  • Prior experience with an ERP system and AP operating systems.
  • Computer literate, familiar with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Additional Information

Working Hours: 37.5hrs per week

Location: Charnwood Campus, Loughborough
