Accounts Payable & Receivable Manager

Location: Central London
Contract: 9-Month Fixed Term

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Accounts Payable & Receivable Manager to join a leading consumer retail business in Central London on a 9-month fixed-term contract. This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the end-to-end AP and AR functions, driving operational excellence, and supporting strategic finance initiatives across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Accounts Payable and Receivable teams, ensuring high performance and accountability.
  • Monitor and improve KPIs to reduce aged debt and enhance cash flow efficiency.
  • Oversee the working capital cycle, ensuring timely and policy-compliant order release decisions.
  • Deliver accurate monthly reporting on AP/AR performance and cash flow forecasting, including variance analysis.
  • Maintain the integrity of customer master data and conduct timely credit risk assessments.
  • Drive continuous improvement through process optimisation, automation, and enhanced internal controls.
  • Support team development through structured performance reviews, training, and succession planning.

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience in a senior AP/AR leadership role, ideally within retail or a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP, with experience in system upgrades or implementations being highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated success in process improvement, KPI development, and team leadership.
  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, and communication skills.
