Job Description
We have an opportunity for an Accounts Payable/Receivable Manager to join our team in Basingstoke.
This is a full-time, fixed-term role for 12 months, with a hybrid working model of office and home.
The starting salary ranges from £45,000 to £50,000, depending on experience.

The Role
You will oversee the management and service delivery of the Accounts Payable and Receivables functions and team.
The role involves working with multiple stakeholders to deliver purchase to pay services and credit control.
You will drive service improvements and contribute to wider projects that align with corporate objectives, legal, regulatory, or audit requirements.

The Key Accountabilities

• Lead a high-performing team in a complex environment
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of all Accounts Payable and Receivable tasks, including invoice payments, account reconciliations, and weekly payment runs across multiple entities
• Manage creditor and debtor balances proactively, resolving overdue payments to minimize aged credit and bad debt exposure
• Assist with internal and external audits and legislative reviews
• Engage with stakeholders to improve data, information, and compliance with Financial Regulations
• Monitor team performance and report to key stakeholders

What We're Looking For
A strong leader with experience managing an Accounts Payable or Receivable team in a busy organization. Experience in the Social Housing sector is a plus but not essential.

Additional Skills Needed

• Experience with change management and motivating teams through change
• Ability to collaborate and serve as a subject matter expert
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a people-oriented approach
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial systems

Accountancy qualifications or partial qualifications are desirable but not mandatory.
