Job description

Our client is an established European bank with offices in Central London.

They are looking to recruit an Accounts Payable Officer with at least 3 to 5 years of experience working within a Finance department, ideally within a banking environment.

The role involves ensuring the timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and employee expenses.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Production and analysis of monthly actual vs. budget cost management.
  2. Management of cost trend analysis and highlighting items with a material impact to management.
  3. Assisting with the annual cost budget.
  4. Regularly updating department SOPs.
  5. Handling internal and external cost/supplier queries.
  6. Preparing monthly KPI reports.
  7. Managing the accounts payable systems (V1, Ebis, Open Accounts) and assisting other users.
  8. Arranging employee Barclaycards and processing corporate card expenses.
  9. Reconciling all AP accounts with the GLO.
  10. Arranging monthly accrual and prepayment schedules.
  11. Processing journals.
  12. Monitoring AP inboxes on a timely basis.
  13. Checking and clearing nostro accounts.
  14. Processing travel advance expenses.
  15. Supplier statement reconciliation.
  16. Executing controls within own area to minimize risk of policy, procedure, and regulatory breaches.
  17. Identifying new risks or control gaps and escalating accordingly.

Risk & Regulatory Duties:

  1. Maintaining knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements and adhering to policies to avoid undue risk.
  2. Reporting policy breaches and potential non-compliance promptly.

You will act in accordance with the FCA/PRA Code of Conduct.

The salary for this position is £40K - £50K + Benefits.
