Job summary

Imperial London Hotels is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Officer to join the Finance team in a hybrid role. 4 days in Bloomsbury office and 1 day WFH, 40 hours per week, permanent full-time.

You will process supplier invoices, run payments, reconcile accounts, and maintain accurate records across the business. Ideal candidates have Accounts Payable or Purchase Ledger experience, strong Excel skills, and a solid grasp of double-entry bookkeeping.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Accounts Payable or related finance role.
  • Ability to reconcile supplier statements, ledgers and bank accounts.
  • Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping principles.
  • Good working knowledge of accounting systems and MS Office.
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with Word/Outlook.
  • Attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  • Clear English communication skills.
  • AAT studies or equivalent accounting qualification.

Responsibilities

  • Process, code and verify supplier invoices.
  • Perform weekly supplier payment runs.
  • Manage supplier payments and maintain payment records.
  • Process customer refunds.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies.
  • Respond to supplier payment and billing queries.
  • Monitor purchase orders and match to invoices.
  • Process employee expenses.
  • Post daily banking transactions.
  • Assist with stock adjustment reporting.
  • Prepare daily financial reports and summaries.
  • Support compliance with financial policies and controls.

About The Role:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Officer to join our Finance team at Imperial London Hotels.

As an Accounts Payable Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring our financial operations run smoothly and efficiently. You will be responsible for processing supplier invoices, managing payment runs, reconciling accounts and maintaining accurate financial records across the business.

Working closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders, you'll help ensure payments are processed accurately and on time while supporting the wider finance team with reporting, banking and ledger management activities.

What We're Looking For:
  • You will have previous experience within Accounts Payable, Purchase Ledger, Bookkeeping or a similar finance role
  • Experience reconciling supplier statements, ledgers and bank accounts
  • Good understanding of double-entry bookkeeping principles
  • Strong working knowledge of accounting systems with the ability to work independently
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • AAT studies or equivalent accounting qualification
