Michael Page Finance in Warrington is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to lead the AP function within a values-led organisation undergoing transformation.

Reporting to the senior finance team, you will manage invoicing, cash flow forecasting, vendor relationships, and process improvements, with hybrid/ flexible working and condensed hours. This role offers long-term stability and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Strong background in accounting/finance, particularly AP management.
• Cash management or treasury experience.
• Experience managing a team of transactional finance staff.
• Proficiency with accounting software and financial systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage the accounts payable function, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
• Oversee the cash and banking function including cash flow forecasting and bank reconciliations.
• Oversee the accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments and authorisations are made on time with strict deadlines.
• Build and maintain relationships with vendors and resolve any payment discrepancies.
• Monitor and improve accounts payable processes and systems.
• Train and develop the accounts payable team ensuring KPIS and met and fostering a collaborative work environment.
• Ensure accurate reporting and reconciliation of accounts payable data.
• Collaborate with other departments to enhance financial efficiency.
• Support audits and ensure adherence to financial regulations and standards.

Reporting into the senior finance leadership team, you will lead the Accounts function, ensuring efficient processes delivering and a high-quality service to both internal and external stakeholders. You'll play a key role in driving continuous improvement, enhancing financial systems, and supporting the organisation's wider financial objectives.
