Accounts Payable Manager | Permanent | Hybrid | City of London | £55,000

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Accounts Payable Manager to lead our AP team. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring the efficient processing of supplier payments and staff expenses, aligned with internal policies and strict deadlines.

The successful candidate will be a confident team leader, committed to continuous improvement and high-quality service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and lead the Accounts Payable team, ensuring full training, development, and high performance.
• Oversee all day-to-day AP operations including invoice processing, payment runs, and supplier query resolution.
• Ensure all payments are processed within 30 days of invoice receipt.
• Conduct regular performance appraisals and one-to-one meetings with team members.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to communicate finance processes and deadlines.
• Drive improvements in systems and processes; support implementation of new tools (e.g., P2P systems).
• Provide accurate and timely reporting on team performance and KPIs.
• Ensure all processes are fully documented and compliant with internal controls.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience managing an Accounts Payable team.
• Strong background in team development and performance management.
• Hands-on experience with P2P systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Ability to stay organised, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities under pressure.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Flexible, adaptable, and collaborative approach.
