Come and join Mondelez International as Accounts Payable Lead, Northern Europe based in Bournville!

In this role, you will lead one of the largest Business Units in Europe, acting as the key liaison between Mondelez and the BPO, ensuring compliance with KPIs, SLAs, and providing outstanding customer experience. You will drive continuous improvement, lead training, and manage projects. As a senior Finance professional with extensive knowledge in Accounts Payable, you will act as the subject matter expert in this area for your cluster.

In this role, you will:

  1. Manage approximately 1.5 billion worth of payments with 165,000 invoices annually.
  2. Manage approximately 500 million worth of exceptions with 5,000 invoices annually.
  3. Lead stakeholder management for finance, procurement, and suppliers.
  4. Manage relationships between Accenture and Mondelez, demonstrating excellent relationship management skills.

What you will bring:

  • Exceptional Accounts Payable subject matter expertise.
  • Experience in fast-paced multinational organizations.
  • In-depth transaction-level SAP knowledge.
  • Continuous improvement mindset, with experience in training others and creating process documentation.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to build strong working relationships.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Knowledge of partnering with a BPO would be advantageous.
  • European geography knowledge, including local VAT & tax laws.

The role includes:

  • Managing stakeholders for one of Europe's largest Business Units.
  • Building local proximity with suppliers to streamline experiences and aid procurement negotiations.
  • Handling Accounts Payable exceptions and query management.
  • Managing day-to-day issues with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Working with BPO operations to improve customer experience.
  • Monitoring service provider KPIs and SLAs, ensuring compliance within industry and company standards.
  • Managing Payment Term laws across European countries.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives with service providers.
  • Stakeholder management with internal teams and suppliers to foster strong relationships.
  • Cascading knowledge through training and process documentation.
  • Taking on additional responsibilities and supporting project management tasks.
  • Exercising excellent communication, interpersonal skills, judgment, and decision-making abilities.
  • Engaging, inspiring, and influencing teams and stakeholders.
  • Analyzing ideas and producing concise reports.

This role is based in our Birmingham (Bournville) office. We operate a hybrid model - three days in the office and two from home.
