Job summary

The Manufacturing Technology Centre in Coventry is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Supervisor to lead a small AP team and manage the end-to-end supplier payments process, ensuring invoices are processed accurately and on time while maintaining strong financial controls.

You will partner with procurement and project teams, drive process improvements and automation in the purchase-to-pay cycle, and develop the team to deliver excellent service and governance in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading AP in a busy environment with strong controls.
• End-to-end purchase-to-pay process knowledge.
• Experience with supplier payments, reconciliations and month-end activities.
• Understanding of UK VAT and input tax recovery.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end supplier payments and manage AP team performance.
• Oversee invoice approvals, reconciliations and payment runs.
• Drive process improvements and automation across P2P.
• Ensure month-end/year-end activities are completed on time.
• Collaborate with Procurement and budget holders to resolve issues.
