Job summary

Michael Page International Recruitment Limited in Woking is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to support the smooth running of the accounting function within the industrial and manufacturing sector. You will process supplier invoices, run payments, reconcile statements and assist with month-end closures, liaising with suppliers and internal teams as needed.

The role involves handling supplier queries, maintaining accurate records for audits, and providing ad hoc support to the finance team.

Qualifications

Experience in an accounts payable or similar role.
Experience with Sage preferred.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency with accounting software and MS Excel.
Ability to communicate effectively with suppliers and colleagues.

Responsibilities

Process supplier invoices and ensure accurate coding and recording in the system.
Prepare and execute payment runs in a timely manner.
Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
Maintain accurate records for audit and reporting purposes.
Respond to supplier queries and liaise with internal teams as needed.
Assist in month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.
Support the wider accounting and finance team with ad hoc tasks.
