Job description

Accounts Payable Clerk

Location: Spilsby / Hybrid

Salary: £23,044 per annum

Benjamin Edwards are currently recruiting for an Accounts Payable Clerk for an established organisation near Spilsby.

You will be joining a friendly and dedicated finance team providing administrative and operational support to the Management Accountant and wider finance team.

Responsibilities
  1. Responsible for processing accounts payable invoices in a timely and accurate manner across all services, including preparing regular supplier payments.
  2. Responsible for posting cash payments to the ledger daily.
  3. Ensure invoices are approved appropriately.
  4. Production of schedules as part of the month-end process for accrued and prepaid expenditure.
  5. Manage queries arising from accounts payable transactions and resolve them in conjunction with appropriate stakeholders.
  6. Support colleagues within the organisation with ad hoc management information and reporting.
  7. Engage in and promote efficiencies and digital ways of working.
  8. Post miscellaneous journals and entries into the finance system.
  9. Carry out any other relevant tasks which fall within the skillset of the role, including covering for colleagues within the Finance Team.
  10. Ensure that all mandatory training is carried out as required.
