Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles. This role is essential for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and supporting the overall financial health of the organisation.

Duties
  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Manage accounts payable processes, ensuring timely payments and accurate record-keeping.
  • Conduct data entry tasks to update financial information in accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, or Xero
  • Collaborate with the HR department to manage payroll and employee-related financial matters using HRIS or Workday systems.
  • Analyse financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts to support strategic planning.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations in all accounting practices.
  • Provide support during audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar role within finance.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, Zero
  • Strong data entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems and human resources functions is an advantage.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial information.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • A relevant degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
