Job description

LemFi (Series B) is building the go-to financial app for the Global South.

Moving to a new country shouldn’t mean starting from zero. That's why our team of 400+ spanning 20+ countries is building a financial ecosystem that helps immigrants stay connected to home, build stability, and create wealth regardless of where they are from or where they live.

What began as fast, affordable remittances is now evolving into a complete platform for multi-currency accounts, payments, credit, and long-term financial growth.

With millions of users across the globe, we process over $1B in monthly transactions to 30+ countries, proving that borders shouldn't limit financial opportunity.

About the role

LemFi is the financial engine for people the world wasn't built to serve - powering cross-border payments, multi-currency accounts, savings, and credit across 21 countries. Our Finance team sits at the centre of all of it, and the AP function is what keeps the engine running cleanly behind the scenes.

As an Accounts Payable Associate you'll own the end-to-end processing of vendor payments across our UK, US, Canada, Ireland, Norway, Nigeria, and other entities - working across multiple currencies, GL codes, tax jurisdictions, and approval chains. You'll work closely with the wider Finance, Growth, and Operations teams, and you'll have real scope to improve the processes you inherit, not just execute them.

What you'll build and own
  • Process and control vendor invoices across multiple entities and currencies in Tipalti and NetSuite - accurately, on time, every time
  • Perform first-line GL coding, cost-centre allocation, and tax coding (VAT, reverse charge, RCS), flagging anomalies before they become problems
  • Run and support payment cycles - validating bank details, currency, and approval sign-off - and manage the AP inbox with clear, prompt communication to vendors and internal stakeholders
  • Own the monthly AP close: accruals, aged payables review, and reconciliations, with discrepancies surfaced and resolved, not buried
  • Maintain vendor master data (bank details, tax status, W-9/W-8 forms) with tight controls, and support audit requests with clean, well-organised evidence
  • Spot recurring miscoding, duplicate invoices, and process gaps - then help fix them, contributing to automation initiatives (including n8n workflows and NetSuite automation) that reduce manual effort for the whole team
  • Support bank statement uploads and reconciliations for the Reporting team, ensuring transactions post correctly and discrepancies are flagged fast
Your experience
  • 1-3 years in an Accounts Payable, Finance Operations, or transactional finance role
  • Hands-on experience with an AP or ERP system; NetSuite and/or Tipalti strongly preferred
  • Comfortable processing across multiple currencies and entities; exposure to a multi-jurisdiction or group structure is a real advantage
  • Working knowledge of VAT and sales tax concepts - reverse charge, non-deductible VAT, or equivalent
  • Strong Excel skills: lookups, pivot tables, data cleanup, and reconciliation work
  • Detail-oriented and control-conscious, with the ability to prioritise a high volume of transactions and meet payment deadlines without dropping the ball
  • Clear written communicator who can liaise confidently with vendors and internal stakeholders
Nice to have
  • Experience in a fintech, payments, or regulated financial services environment
  • Exposure to automation tools (e.g. n8n) or light scripting for finance workflows
  • Experience supporting external audit requests (KPMG, Crowe, BKL, or similar)
