About the Role

Our client, a leading international organisation based in Cardiff, is seeking a Portuguese-speaking Accounts Payable Assistant to join their finance team on a fixed-term contract.

This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You'll play a key role in managing purchase ledger, staff expenses, and credit card transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance across all processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process and record supplier invoices and maintain the purchase ledger.
  • Manage and verify staff and corporate credit card expenses.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve invoice or payment queries.
  • Liaise with suppliers and internal departments in both Portuguese and English.
  • Assist with month-end close, including accruals and reporting.
  • Provide ad hoc support to the wider finance team as required.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Fluent in Portuguese and English (spoken and written).
  • Experience in an Accounts Payable / Purchase Ledger role.
  • Excellent accuracy, organisation, and attention to detail.
  • Confident communicator with a proactive approach.
  • Strong IT skills, including Excel and accounting software (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
