Morson Praxis is a forward‑thinking consultancy delivering engineering and infrastructure projects across the UK. The Accounts Payable role supports seamless financial processes for multiple projects, handling invoices, statements and payments with accuracy.

You will work within a collaborative finance team, gain exposure to month‑end activities, and contribute to continuous improvement across processes. This is a great chance to develop in a growing part of the Morson Group.

Qualificações

• Experience in an Accounts Payable role.
• Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient in Excel and finance systems.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage stakeholder queries.

Responsabilidades

• Process supplier invoices, staff expenses and purchase orders accurately and on time.
• Reconcile supplier statements.
• Prepare and process weekly BACS payment runs.
• Conduct daily and monthly bank reconciliations.
• Ensure invoices are approved per procedures.
• Support month-end tasks including journals and reconciliations.
• Assist with Payment Practices reporting and financial record keeping.
• Respond to finance queries from project teams and suppliers.

What You’ll Do

• Processing supplier invoices, staff expenses and purchase orders accurately and on time
• Reconciliation of supplier statements
• Preparing and processing weekly bacs payment runs
• Completing daily and monthly bank reconciliations
• Ensuring all invoices are approved in line with procedures
• Dealing with internal and external stakeholders
• Supporting month‑end tasks, including journals, reconciliations
• Compile Payment Practices reporting
• Maintaining accurate financial records and helping prepare internal reports
• Handling finance queries from project teams and suppliers, providing excellent service
• Supporting continuous improvement across finance processes and systems
• Contributing to a collaborative finance team and supporting colleagues during peak periods

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience in an Accounts Payable role
• Strong numerical skills and attention to detail
• Confidence using finance systems and Excel (VLOOKUPs/Pivot Tables a plus)
• A proactive, problem‑solving mindset with the ability to work to deadlines
• Excellent communication skills and a team‑focused approach
