Job description

We are currently looking for an Accounts Payable Assistant to join The Sovini Group.

This position is a Fixed Term Contract for 12 months.

As an Accounts Payable Assistant, you will be expected to:
  • Provide comprehensive Accounts Payable services across the Group, assisting the wider Finance Team and related financial and administrative processes.
  • Commit to equality and diversity and promote non-discriminatory practices in all aspects of work undertaken.
  • Adhere to the Health and Safety at Work Act, taking reasonable care of your own health and safety and that of others affected by your acts and omissions.
Skills and qualifications needed for the role:
  • Minimum Level 2 (or equivalent) qualification such as AAT or a finance-related qualification.
  • Good organisation and communication skills.
  • IT literate and numerate.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Effective planning and prioritisation skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to change, with the ability to work remotely if necessary.
  • Excellent communication skills across multiple channels including Microsoft Teams, face-to-face, and email.

Preferred but not essential experience or knowledge:
  • Experience in Accounts Payable, Finance, or Office Administration within a sizeable organisation.
  • Ability to analyse and interpret financial, non-financial, and management information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows software and financial management or database systems.
