Job Description
The Accounts Payable Apprentice will:
- Assist in processing supplier invoices and ensuring accurate data entry.
- Support in reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies onto SAP.
- Help maintain accounts payable records and documentation for audits.
- Provide support to the accounting team.
- Respond to supplier queries in a professional and timely manner.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the accounts payable function.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
- Learn and utilise accounting software and tools effectively.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Accounts Payable Apprentice should have:
- Recently graduated in Accounting, Finance, or Business (e.g., AAT, Level 2/3 in Accounting, or university-level qualification)
- Previous experience (internship or placement) in accounts payable or finance is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of accounts payable processes is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong numerical and organisational skills.
- The ability to work accurately with attention to detail.
- A collaborative attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
