Job summary

Attega Group Ltd on behalf of our client is recruiting an Accounts Payable to join the team in Pontefract. The role focuses on processing supplier invoices, reconciling accounts, and maintaining supplier records.

The position is full-time, temporary to permanent, offering 37.5 hours per week and a pay rate of £17.00-£17.43 per hour. Ideally you have previous accounts payable experience, strong attention to detail, and proficiency with Sage or similar software and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Processing invoices, matching supplier invoices to purchase orders, and identifying discrepancies
• Producing weekly aged supplier reports, submitting payment requests, and monitoring outstanding payments
• Reconciling supplier statements and accounts monthly, investigating differences in purchase ledgers
• Supporting month-end, preparing accrual calculations for goods and services, and providing general finance support

Attega Group is working on behalf of our client as their recruitment provider.

We are currently recruiting for an Accounts Payable to join their team.

The main purpose of this Accounts Payable role is to take ownership for the processing of supplier invoices and the maintenance of supplier accounts.

In return, our client is offering a salary of up to £17.43 per hour, depending on experience.

This role is full-time and temporary to permanent. The hours of work will be 37.5 per week Monday to Friday.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, your responsibilities will include:

• Processing invoices, matching supplier invoices to purchase orders, and identifying discrepancies.
• Producing weekly aged supplier reports, submitting payment requests, and monitoring outstanding payment requests.
• Reconciling supplier statements and accounts monthly, investigating differences between supplier statements and company's purchase ledger.
• Supporting with month-end, preparing accrual calculations for goods and services.
• Offering general finance support.

The ideal candidate:

• Must have previous accounts payable or purchase ledger experience
• Will need to be available to start a new role immediately and commit to a temporary to permanent contract
• Must have strong attention to detail and accuracy abilities
• Will need to be familiar with Sage, or similar, and have strong Microsoft Excel skills.
