CMA Recruitment Group is working with a well-established company based in Petersfield, Hampshire. They are recruiting for an Accounts Manager who is looking to join a dynamic and growing business in the construction sector and seeking an ambitious and detail-focused individual to take ownership of its finance function.

This family-owned business has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality bespoke solutions across the UK. With a friendly team culture and long-standing client base, the company is now looking for an Accounts Manager who can support its ongoing growth and contribute to its strategic goals.

What will the Accounts Manager role involve?

  • Daily customer invoicing and credit control, handling order/invoice queries
  • Managing purchase ledger including approvals, payments (including CIS), and utilities
  • Overseeing CIS processes, including verifying subcontractors, HMRC returns, and insurance documentation
  • Handling sales order setup, credit facility management using Experian, and structured customer payment plans
  • VAT monitoring and monthly submissions via QuickBooks
  • Payroll processing through QuickBooks including pension, expenses, and holiday tracking
  • Bank reconciliation and annual review with the bank
  • Managing company insurance renewals and vehicle fleet (MOTs, tax, tracking)
  • Utility bill management and competitive tariff reviews
  • Supporting contracts meetings, IT equipment, and transitioning to a paperless finance system

Suitable Candidate for the Accounts Manager vacancy:

  • Strong experience in an Accounts Manager or similar finance role
  • Proficient in QuickBooks and confident handling full-cycle bookkeeping
  • Familiarity with CIS processes and HMRC submissions is essential to this role
  • Skilled in credit control, purchase ledger management, and payroll administration
  • Well-organised with the ability to manage a wide variety of financial functions
  • Confident communicator with a proactive mindset and attention to detail
  • Comfortable working in a busy office environment with a small team
  • Experience in the construction or manufacturing sector (desirable)
