TPF Recruitment are partnering with a fantastic firm of chartered accountants. We're recruiting for a fantastic Accounts opportunity where you will be responsible for servicing some significant, large clients. You will be responsible for technical accounting, financial reporting and business advisory. It will be a very technical position where, with the support of your team, you will be preparing accounts and advising your clients clients across a range of accounting standards including FRS 102, IFRS and FRS 101, group reconstructions and accounting considerations, conversion to different GAAP, technical accounting papers and acquisition accounting support.

  • Supervising staff in the preparation of financial statements that are compliant with FRS 102, FRS 101, IFRS.
  • Delivering complex accountancy projects for clients as they arise, for example IFRS transition consultancy work or support on acquisition accounting and complex consolidations.
  • Working with the leadership team through communicating and resolving any contentious issues.
  • Managing a portfolio of clients and projects, including client care responsibilities, project management and WIP/billing management.
  • To liaise with other departments, especially the audit and corporate tax teams.
  • To ensure that agreed deadlines are met and significant issues are resolved in a timely manner.
  • To act as a coach to more junior members of the team and to participate in staff training and supervision as required.
  • A willingness to travel to client's premises is required. However, the significant proportion of work is office-based.
Requirements
  • ACA / ACCA Qualified or equivalent.
  • UK GAAP and IFRS financial reporting experience.
  • Experience of working in an accountancy practice.
  • Strong project management and organisational skills.
  • Experience of supervision of junior staff.
  • Experience of Microsoft Office, with high competency with both Excel and Word.
Our client is offering a highly competitive salary and remuneration package, competitive with the London market and based on experience, in the region of £50,000- £60,000.
